One-time setup required
Follow these steps once to connect the database. Takes about 5 minutes.
Go to console.firebase.google.com and click Add project. Name it ame-tracker.
Inside the project, click Authentication → Get started → Email/Password and enable it.
Click Authentication → Users → Add user. Enter your girlfriend's email and a password. Save those credentials.
Go to Realtime Database → Create database. Choose Start in test mode for now, pick any region.
Go to Project Settings ⚙ → Your apps → Web app (</>). Register the app. Copy the firebaseConfig object shown.
Open index.html in a text editor. Find the FIREBASE_CONFIG block near the top of the <script> and paste your values in.
Go to Realtime Database → Rules and paste the rules from the README.md file, then click Publish.
Save index.html, commit, and push to GitHub. You're done!
